Your details, plainly.
This is how Retract Canopy Systems Pty Ltd (RCS) handles your personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect, and why
- When you order: your name, email, phone, delivery address, your ute and spec, and what you bought. We need these to build, deliver and support your canopy.
- When you start a checkout and do not finish: whatever you typed, usually an email or phone number. We may contact you once to help you complete the order. Nothing is charged.
- When you enquire: what you put in the form.
- After delivery: we may ring or message to ask how the canopy is going and whether you would leave a review. Reviews are entirely up to you.
Payments
Card and wallet payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, never to us; we see that the payment succeeded and the last four digits. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to that part.
Who else handles it
Stripe (payments and order records), Resend (order and enquiry emails), Vercel (hosting and page analytics that use no cookies and no personal identifiers) and, if we use it, HubSpot (our customer records). These providers may process data outside Australia, mainly in the United States, under their own privacy terms. We do not sell your details or pass them to anyone else.
Cookies and your device
We do not use tracking cookies. Your cart is kept in your own browser's storage so it is still there when you come back; it never leaves your device until you check out.
How long we keep it
Order records for seven years, as tax law requires. Enquiry details until the enquiry is dealt with, then for up to two years in case you come back to it. Unfinished checkouts for 90 days.
Seeing, fixing or deleting your details
Email info@retractcanopies.com.au and we will show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it where the law lets us. If you are not happy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
